Eskdale Valley by ellida

Eskdale Valley

There's a lovely footpath starting at Beckfoot which is a steep ascent leading to a couple of little tarns, but on the way provides lovely views. Not oo much sunlight about, but sometimes that can be good too.
What a pretty valley.. are they stoned wall fences?.. lovely shot

@merrelyn @joannakate Yes, it's such a contrast between the tended pastures and the common grazing land. Thanks for commenting Merrelyn and Joanna Kate

@gardenfolk Thanks CC. The dry-stone walls are definitely a feature of the area I live in. Hundreds of miles of them. I often reflect on the man-hours that must have been involved.
