Just a personal view that they present two different views, this mono version is of the people and the other is all about the vibrant colour.

I think both are wonderful and you are right - you see the people more in the B&W. I do prefer the color version because it is just so vibrant. FAV!

I think they present different aspects of the same scene too - and the people is why I like street shots in b&w - but you miss the vibrancy

Two such different representations of the same scene and I really can't say which I prefer. This one shows the detail because the eye isn't distracted by the colour.

I totally agree Graham. I like both versions for different reasons. The people are definitely the stars in this image.
