The Little Mermaid

I was expecting something bigger and out into the harbour, but no, she's right by the harbour edge and the tourists clamber all over her.

What I did not know is that she has had three heads! The others having been damaged or stolen, most recently in 1998. Then in 2003 someone dynamited her off her perch! There have been other incidents of vandalism.

I have a shot almost identical..I was surprised how small she is too. Great to see on a trip though & have a photo of her.
