I was unpacking the groceries and checking the items as they had arrived from our online shopping. The chaos on the table reminded me of the article which I had just read about "Malta being a concrete paradise" and which irritated some guy close to the political party in government. While I think that the article was spot on I wanted to see what I could get out of the mayhem on the table. I decided on colour rather than focusing on a particular object as the main subject with the intention of working with filters later on. For Abstract from chaos #1 https://365project.org/elza/extra-curricula/2021-06-05 I rendered the photo using a filter (Blockism) in Gimp. The colours go from warm to cool. I used a similar approach but with a slightly different filter in Abstract from chaos #2. The filter used in #2 was "Box fitting" and was inspired by Jared Tarbell's works.
@kali66 Thanks Kali for your comment. I looked up Paul Klee and must say that the photo does have some resemblances to some of his paintings. I had come across one of his paintings (one where he used letters from a poem to create shapes) but did not make the connection. Thanks for pointing him out.
