Up down left right colour

We were treated to spectacular aerial displays during the Malta International Air Show. These are the ever popular Red Arrows. This is their ninth time to display in Malta. The display took place along St Paul’s Bay and Qawra coastline.

It's the first time I enjoyed photographing the various aerial displays by Belgian, French and Swiss forces among others. My main aim was to practice and try to get well focused pictures. I was in a quandary as to which picture to upload from the 500+ photos I took in 1.5 hours! :)
Only 500+🤣 great display.

well, 500 plus is a meagre number. and this shot is really good. i love the clarity of the airplanes and how you composed this shot. aces!

in the beginning i would have that number in less than half hour, and only two or three are good enough for show. i'm much more disciplined now, 60 is more than enough of a place or subject, with at least ten that i could be happy with. i am much more conscious of the camera's shutter actuation as i'd like to make my gear last a longer while as i go into retirement.

The clarity and detail on the planes is fantastic! I can see how it would be easy to take 500 pictures in such a short amount of time, but like Vikki, I'm starting to be more purposeful in my picture- only for the reason that it takes less time to cull through them for the good ones!
