Donkey Crossing by elza

Donkey Crossing

"I'm gonna name it Donkey Crossing."
We had a break in the weather and it was time for me to take advantage of the day. I started off by preparing lunch for my wife and daughter. We had octopus stew with spaghetti and it was delicious, even if I say so myself!

In the afternoon instead of the usual siesta I sped off to Manikata which is to the north from where I live and parked the car near Manikata church which offered a few architectural shots which I will share later.

My objective was to find a cluster of boat houses in a remote area which I had once visited on my kayak. I found the place but did not follow the path all the way down to the sea as it was too dangerous, at least on my own. On my way to the cliff from the parking lot I spotted the donkey and the shadow of the gate coupled with the rubble wall. That was to make the photo for today.

Please do not tell the donkey that it is called a Zebra crossing.
I like all the lines and textures in this. The gate and its shadow are a great counterpoint to the rubble wall with the donkey wondering what it's all about! It's a favourite.

Lovely shot and the light is also falling perfectly on the donkey.
