A little bit closer to summer

Day after the general election and the winner has been confirmed.
Just came back from my daughter's house where we celebrated my granddaughter's birthday. She will be 5 tomorrow. Kind of a sombre mood as the adults tried to understand the widening gap between the two major parties. We just cannot comprehend what makes a nation blind to what has happened over the past ten years. Reasons were mooted but one perhaps is not debatable: see what's best now as if tomorrow does not exist then look at the amount on the cheque and no silly questions about where it came from.
Anyway today's photos of the cake were as dull as the mood so here's one from yesterday's walk at Marsalforn.
The girl and her mum were playing a simple game: mum was throwing a float into the shallows and the girl would fish it out with her net. This went on for a couple of times. I liked the pebble stairs with the dark red steps as a background for the girl and I captured her in another photo alone against the stairs but it does not tell the full story of what was happening.
A sweet moment you have captured.

Lovely family photo and tells an equally lovely story. Looking forward for my first swim. Trying hard to accept the result. Agree with you, people's priority today is filling their pockets in any way possible and emptying them quickly for their entertainment as if the next day will never come.
