There were several motor bikes parked infront of the mural. I kind of imagined the girl looking down at one of them and wondering how she could come off the wall and enjoy a ride with the wind in her hair.
The mural is on a wall of the abandoned (partly due to the clay foundations beneath) Riviera Hotel. During its heyday in the 60's it offered an all-inclusive option for 18 shillings, which roughly translates to €2, the hotel marketed itself as a resort with very moderate charges.
Some 40 years ago my wife and I together with close friends spent new year's eve dancing the night away at this hotel. Oh what memories.
