2nd January 2014

On our way back from Cornwall today. We had a great New Year albeit stormy and very wet. Mum had a full house with eight of us staying.

On the moors there are a number of wind farms which I think must have been producing an incredible amount of energy these last few days! Check out the shape of them… the iPhone does weird things when photographing out of a car window travelling at speed!
Mum would have been loving this time. How odd that you have captured these odd bends! It makes them look like figures with wildly waving arms!

I suspect with the high winds they will be locked up so they can't turn. Interesting effect from the iPhone on the move.

@maggiemae I didn't notice it until I set it to the laptop. I love the shape of them and saw some massive ones in Southern Spain a few years ago, they were so large they rose higher then the walls of the valley they were in. @barrowlane I didn't know they did that, although I learnt that they are very important in assisting managing fluctuating demand as they can be controlled more quickly than power stations, glad you are both continuing 365 the year, congrats to both of you on a complete 2013 365 project - I'm feeling quite smug at the moment!
