In this warm sunny weather the Red Deer are relaxing. It's not October so they don't have to fight, it's not June so they're not having to protect the young, they can just sunbathe.
This stag still has his antlers although many have already shed theirs and he's steadfastly ignoring the two whipper-snappers behind him play-fighting!
@maggiemae@tristansmum Thank you both, it's great to get so close to them at this time of year (I only had the 24-70mm!) @steampowered Hello! Yep, I'm off on the course tomorrow (Tuesday) with @taz_o . I'm really looking forward to it. I have 2-sets of spare batteries as well as those in the flash and 2-fully charged camera batteries although as each one last for nearly 1,000 shutter presses, I hope I won't be taking quite that many!! I am strangely nervous but looking forward to it as I can put it to the test in Thursday when I am at a business drinks session in the evening and I volunteered to take photos… with flash!
@emmadurnford Good for you! Don't forget to say "Hi!" to John for me. You won't be taking thousands of photographs, believe me. I think that you are going to have a lot of fun and I hope that both you and @taz_o come away as inspired as I was to do the second course. I'm looking forward to hearing back from you.
