22nd June 2014

This is Fetcham Park on a beautiful summers day. I was lucky to win tickets some time ago to a travel event held here. There were a few lectures on different destinations and complimentary tea and cake as well as a hog roast for lunch - Mmmm!

Fetcham Park was built around 1705 and was restored in the 1980's. Over the years it has been used as a private residence, a school and a science university during the second world war - today you can even get married there. It really is a lovely place.
Glad to see a beautiful building like this is still used. A lot will go into maintenance so they probably need to raise money!
