Today we continued Colin’s family research with another visit to the genealogist who is assisting. She had good news as she has managed to track further relatives back to the end of the 18th century. She has managed to print out 30 A3 sheets with every single relative traced. It took me some time to tape them all together but this is the result. I’m not sure this is the version to hang on the wall.
In the meantime I have started to look at my own family tree. Mum has the family bible which has been passed down through generations on her fathers side of the family. With all this information I have already traced my mothers side of the family back to 1818!
Wow, that is quite a family tree. Doing this is fun. I had a go at it a few years ago, but I forget how far back I got. I know I did find something which seemed like confirmation of the family story that one of my ancestors was an Irish Traveller or Gypsy.
