My second day in Kingston to take images for my new montage card. This is the Kings Stone or Coronation Stone and is the original ‘sarcen’ now located by the Guildhall which was used in the coronation of kings dating back to Anglo-Saxon times. It is not quite in it’s original position but is now near the Clattern Bridge on the High Street (dates back to the 13th century and is the oldest surviving bridge in London and one of the oldest bridges in England).
