3rd September 2016

The weather took a bit of a turn today which was not good as our friends son was getting married but luckily the rain held off until later in the day.

It was also the day that the Dunkirk ‘Little Ships’ passed through Teddington Lock at lunchtime. I always try and see them and although it was 1940 when they all set sail to rescue troops from the beaches of Dunkirk, I always feel moved when I see them. They are so well looked after and all have the brass plaque to mark them as having taking part in the mass evacuation.
