12th September 2016

Colin’s back was playing up today following him standing for nearly three hours watching the horses on Saturday and probably me pushing him hard (to save him being trampled)!

I managed a sea swim close to the apartment and was rather scared to see what I think was a conger eel. It was about 2 meters below me but was about 2 feet long, brown with yellow stripes. It started slowly swimming in my direction albeit on the sea floor but I can tell you I was almost matching Michael Phelps Olympic winning record as I swam away!

During the day I also popped up to the local supermarket for supplies. Some words obviously do not translate the same from or into Spanish and I can assure you I did not buy any Bimbo bread but stuck to the freshly baked artisan baguette instead.
