24th January 2017

A trip uptown today to Hammersmith to see the optician. Jamal used to have a Practice in Teddington but he was forced to move to Hammersmith for various reasons a few years ago. We were so happy with his service that we followed him to his new practice in Hammersmith. I was surprised to find out that my eyesight is still just the same but Colin's has improved which sounds good but will cost a lot to change his glasses lenses!

Afterwards to make the visit even more worthwhile we headed to West Brompton to visit the Brompton cemetery. I have not been here before and it is fascinating. The grave of Emmeline Pankhurst is there along with a number of other famous names. This statue was heavily eroded to the extent that her finger is so thin it cannot remain in one piece for much longer.

A few more shots from the day… https://www.facebook.com/pg/Emma-Durnford-LRPS-Photographer-186301661422523/photos/?tab=album&album_id=1360459717340039
