2nd September 2017

Today was the Association of the Dunkirk Little Ships annual veterans cruise and we were lucky enough for the boats to pass through Teddington Lock not once but twice! This is a view of the ships as they approached Teddington Lock, viewed from the Teddington footbridge. Everyone on the river bank and bridge clapped each boat as it passed under the bridge.

The 'Little Ships' arrived at about 13.30 and stayed for nearly an hour during which there was a ceremony at the memorial for Operation Dynamo on Lock Island.

A number of the 'Little Ships' were used during the filming of 'Dunkirk' the film which was released a couple of weeks ago including this 'ship' The Endeavour which I have not seen before.

I waited until the lock had filled and the boats passed through downstream - here are some more images from the day - https://www.facebook.com/pg/EmmaDurnfordPhotography/photos/?tab=album&album_id=1587199204666088
Nice day for it.
