17th November 2017

Sparkle has arrived.

I was up early to pack the the car and it actually had to be scraped of frost - still finding it hard to believe that 2-weeks ago we were in the heat and sunshine of Australia but never mind!

I had booked the first 9.30am car slot and we were the first there. I was probably the most organised this time out of past shows and today it only took about 3 hours to set up and we were away by 12.30.

No rest for me though as I had to bake Colin's birthday cake for the family who are coming over tomorrow evening - lemon cake and it looks pretty good although I say it myself!

It was back again at 5.30 ready for the Private View and it was really nice that a number of people I had sent invites to, turned up on the evening. It was also nice that a lot of them bought me glasses of red wine but I did feel rather 'whizzy' when cooking dinner later on! A few card sales in the evening but nothing too impressive so I hope that sales improve over the weekend. Break even point is £175 for the stall costs but obviously the plan is to make a profit over the 2.5 days.
