I picked up Mum and Ian from Gatwick today and I had meant to get an interesting grab shot whilst wait no but unfortunately I drove into a police operation (not literally) with lots of armed police, 4 police cars and 3-4 people all shouting obscenities at each other which was rather distracting so I totally forgot to take a photo.
Luckily despite the fact the plane arrival time kept changing and at one stage I thought I was going to be late, mum called with perfect timing just as I was coming off the M23 about 5 minutes from the terminal.
It took us some time to get back through Esther as the racing at Sandown had just finished so traffic was pretty solid.
I rather felt that I had earned the large glass of red wine I had with dinner tonight.
