4th September 2018

I had planned to go to Greenwich whilst Colin was in Spain but on the day there was an attack on Westminster bridge again and despite being in a totally different area, I thought security would be tight up in town so I decided not to go.

Today we headed off to Greenwich to see the excellent British Seaside photographic exhibition at the National Maritime Museum. It was well worth the wait and was a very good exhibition with small films about the three photographers. Afterwards we headed to North Greenwich for another first, crossing the Thames via the Emirates cable car. This is something that I have anted to do for quite some time and as I was worried that the cable carman close in the not too distant future as not very successful I was determined not to miss it. It is such good value at only £3.50 a person each way. It lasted a good 10-15 minutes and the views over the City and towards the estuary were amazing.

We then headed back into town using the DLR and finished up at Colin’s Mexican restaurant at Victoria (well the one he goes to regularly with friends) - great food and a great day.
What a great view!
