Recently the annual ice rink opened at Hampton Court Palace again. I do not skate but I have to have at least one hot chocolate each season to feel Christmassy. Prior to that we attempted to illicitly collect our little bunch of mistletoe from Bushy Park but unfortunately the wrong cutting implements had been deployed so apart from a few berries we continued to the ice rink empty handed.
I found snowdrops and daffodils actually flowering in the Palace grounds and there was a very friendly robin that just just a few inches away from me - must take some seed back for him.
