I booked the surprise birthday present for Karen’s birthday - this became quite an ordeal trying to coordinate a number of other people.
I made up two car orders and completed the associated paperwork
I delivered both lots of cards travelling by bus (and recounted 400 cards in storage) - in Richmond the bus station was temporarily closed so I had to walk over the bridge - and took this image!
Caught the R70 to Twickenham, delivered the second set of cards, bought lunch, met Colin in the car.
Drove to Fulwell Golf club and paid the room hire fee for my photography club summer awards dinner.
Dropped Colin at Fulwell Station.
Drove to Squires counted cards and found the whole place to be in the same mess it was on my last visit!
Filled the car with petrol.
Nipped home, was about to eat lunch when my Mum iMessaged from Costa Rica to say she was taken to hospital yesterday. I managed to FaceTime her as her phone has no signal… she is recovering now and is back ‘on tour’ with the fellow bird watchers.
Drove out to Molesey to buy sweets for a present, shop in Tescos and then got a text from the buyer of our old fireguard who was heading to ours to pick it up…
Drove FAST home (apart from the 20 mile limit in Bushy Park).
Ran indoors, managed to find the guard in the garage, bring it in and dust it off…
The doorbell went and ‘Craig’ had arrived to pick it up - but no change so I had to find a fiver…
He left, I unpacked the car and had a cup of tea!!!
