Colin’s second cataract operation last week has not gone quite so well as the last one. His vision is better but there is the remains of the old lens capsule in his eye and he will need further laser treatment is a few months. As it has been quite uncomfortable, as a precaution we headed back down to Kent, a little earlier than I had expected. Yet again I failed to get a photo of Englands biggest windmill in the nearby village of Cranbrooke and there was a big difference in temperature to when we last visited in what felt like early summer temperatures!

By the time we had driven back we were quite tired so Colin treated us both to another meal at Bar Estilo using a 25% off voucher. We went for two portions of the halloumi and lean quince sauce this time - Mmmm!
