I was driving around in the Astra today, over to Chertsey to drop Colin off at Chris’s house to help with putting up his summer house and then over to Kew for National Open Garden Day.
I had been invited by the woman who bought the demijohns from us a few months ago when I advertised them on Gumtree. Her parents own an amazing house - The White House - facing onto Kew Green with a stunning garden and a summer house where she designs her lampshades and lamps. I visited a few other gardens (with entrance fee!) and felt very poor. It was quite a hike to the car and back as I had parked in the retail park car park nearly a time away.
Afterwards I headed back to Chertsey and helped Chris and Colin for a while as hey managed to get the roof on the summer house. Afterwards we enjoyed a BBQ but had to eat inside as it got quite chilly and was spotting with rain.
