The day has finally arrived after the flurry of emails and work for my photo clubs annual awards ceremony. In the morning I dropped by Card Collection as it is Julia’s birthday to day so I delivered a lemon muffin from M&S and a frappacino from Starbucks!
We headed to Fulwell Golf Club at about 5.30 to check the room, put out the red napkins (the colour of our club logo), signs on the doors, chocolates out and put the signage on the committee tables. We managed to finish this just as the committee members started to arrive.
The chef put on a brilliant spread yet again and the evening went very well apart from some table issues down to a lack of organisation which had nothing to do with me! Note for next year, get a firm table plan with names for the top tables. The awards ceremony went well although my one and only certificate (a third!) seems to ave disappeared during the course of the evening. I’m quite tired now!
