Catching up with household tasks today such as freezing more blackberries and as my bean stringer has arrived, shrining the rest of the box that Mum and Ian brought me from their allotment.
Later in the day I sorted out nearly over 300 cards to make up next week. The best news of the day (and I've not had much good news recently) is that my friend Sophie had her baby early this morning and she sent me a lovely photograph of her and her baby son - Blake. I am so happy for her, Lawrence her husband and all the family. I cannot believe how fresh and smiling she looked.
Colin did a BBQ this evening and the steaks were delicious and he even used the heat of the coals to cook two complete chickens as well - I guess I know what we will be having from the next few days. My attempt at the cooking apples was no so successful - definitely need less cooking time next time!
