19th December 2019

I visited Steph this morning for a Christmas trim and to catch up with news. Steph often manages to reassure me that I’m not being unreasonable in wanting certain things. We did a mutual ‘flicking of the bird’ to men in general!! This is the tree at the end of Steph’s road which was full of starlings and caught my eye in the way back to the car.

Having got that out of my system I arrived back for a quick turnaround before heading out for coffee my our friend Anne who we have not seen for quite some time. It was good to catch up and she sounds very busy as well. We saw Colin walking to the dentist and I headed there afterwards to see how he had got on. Luckily the dentist does not think there is any underlying problem with his tooth and his pain yesterday was due to the bruising from the aggressive root canal treatment a few days earlier.

It poured with rain for most of the day which was OK as I had planned to wrap all the presents in the afternoon. My theme this year is plain bronze and a matching bird pattern paper from John Lewis. I had the best set up to date this year, using my fair table on a lower level to lean on, I’ve put ribbons on half the parcels and I think they look rather good.
