For the first time in two months I managed the park run. With no practice at all I had four slow downs and completed it in 32 minutes - a petty dire time but at least I got round. It turned out afterwards that this was the third largest turn out ever of 1,815 runners.
It was a quick turnaround when we got back as I had to finish off the cake and then we headed over to Hampton Court ice rink as Karen, Charley and Caroline were skating. On route I dropped in a slice of cake to Isla at The Card Collection who will be eighteen years old tomorrow - she is so clear in what she hopes for
in the future and makes me feel rather old! It turned out to be a beautiful afternoon for one of the last skating days and I finally got a hot chocolate after the disastrous last visit.
Getting home was not so easy as there was a problem with the traffic and so it took over 45 minutes to leave the Bushy Park car park. We had a Chinese meal in the evening and finished by playing another game of articulate with new cards!
Positive: I managed the Park Run after no exercise for 2-months!
