5th January 2020

We had a lie in this morning and then I sorted out the invoicing for The Card Collection who sold over 300 Christmas cards before Christmas. I am also starting to look at a possible break in Spain over my birthday. We often treat each other to city breaks as I did when I organised our trip to Amsterdam last November. I am thinking about a few days in Malaga and a day in Ronda which we didn’t have a proper look at on honeymoon back in 2003 as it was pouring with rain!

We have also been trying to contact Colin’s cousins wife Jane who lives south of Sydney in a little town called Exeter. We are really worried as the map and news online indicates there are a number of fires in the area. Her home ansaphone is still working which indicates that her house must still be standing.

I have to say I really am in pain today after yesterday’s run, perhaps I should have taken it a little more slowly. I’m on paracetamol and ibuprofen at the moment.

Today’s image is another photograph of our excellent Christmas tree. This is the last night it will be up as it is twelfth night tomorrow and so all the decorations have to come back down. I hate doing it but will sort it out whilst Colin is out at golf tomorrow morning. Perhaps I’ll get some nice flowers to cheer up the house afterwards.

Positive: I am so happy that Jane is safe and well in Australia - she managed to send us a text from the safe place she has been evacuated to and is going to email us soon.
