15th February 2020

I admit that I wimped out of the Park Run this morning. Storm Dennis is on it way and despite it not hitting until a little later in the day, I couldn’t face the early rise and inevitable pain in my knees later in the day. We have not been out running/jogging for a couple of weeks so I will definitely go out at least once this coming week and run the Park Run next Saturday. For my penance I finished the washing up from last night and cleared the kitchen.

I did venture out to post some cards and pick up lunch a little later in the day. I also wanted to drop in a ‘good luck’ card to Isla who works Saturdays at Card Collection. I treated her to a cream muffin as well from M&S. She’s a great person and is about to leave to concentrate on both her A’ levels and her driving test. She is like a ray of light and I really think she will be successful in whatever he turns her mind too in the future. It makes me a little sad that she has everything in front of her, hasn’t made mistakes yet and can shape her future. I do feel older than my now 52 years sometimes.

This rather boring photo is storm Dennis lashing the front of the house. The weather is very bad across the country and it is so lucky that Karen and Chris (and the others) made it out of the country safely yesterday as a lot of flights have been cancelled from Heathrow and Gatwick today and there’s would definitely have been cancelled as well.

Positive - my knees were not hurting as I didn’t do the Park Run!
