5th March 2020

This evening it was my photo clubs AGM. This is the date that the past President hands over the club ‘jewel’ to the new President and about the only time the year we get to see it. There is also a club briefcase which contains nothing but the wooden gavel! Jay (our outgoing President) put on a marvellous spread of cakes and pastries made by our local Cavan Bakery. My salted caramel brownie was superb and Robert our Treasurer is clearly enjoying his massive iced bun here as well!

When I got home I also finally emailed the the selection of five photographs that I have spent the last 2-3 days choosing. I gained the ‘Teams’ approval and my final selection comprise of a night shot of smoke rising from the many food stalls in the Jmaa el Fna square in Marrakech, the Jaleo horse fiesta of Sant Nicolau in Menorca, a Thai lotus blossom farmer up to his waist in water cutting the flowers, a local fiesta procession passing through the streets in Cuzco and finally a landscape shot with a double rainbow over Plateau Point in the Grand Canyon. A varied selection and I have my fingers crossed.
