Day 79 of lock down.

Trip out in the car today all the way to Epsom! Our car is due it’s first year service which has had to have been postponed for a month or so but we were finally able to take it in. It was strange being in the showroom with the new distancing measures in place. We couldn’t stay and had to leave and kill 3.5 hours wondering around the town. It was hard work as understandably virtually nothing at all was open so using Google maps we headed towards a Sainsbury's superstore. Fully kitted out in face masks, we braved the store to buy ourselves a meal deal lunch. In a true classy fashion we then ate it balanced on the wall in the little bus stop watching the television on my mobile phone!

We managed to kill a bit more time before heading off down a little lane full of baby robins before arriving back at the car showroom. We had a few minutes wait on our own in the designated waiting area before collecting our car fully sanitised - it was a relief to be able to sit down comfortably and then drive home! In the evening I made another of my bacon and cheese quiches which gave rise to yet another batch of jam tarts with the pastry leftover. As it is a Thursday it is my weekly Zoom session with my photo club and this evening it was an excellent lecture by a photographer called Martin Addison which gave me a bit of an idea for a photography project for the Landmark at 25 project. I am hoping that this project Will raise funds for the Landmark Centre and also for myself as photography work has been pretty scarce over the last three months.
