21st June 2020

Day 89 of lock down.

It’s Fathers’ Day today and Sydney hamster has done very well for Colin as he managed to buy him seven Topic bars and a wedge of soft handmade nougat.

I popped out just before our morning coffee to get the photograph of the cheese shop near the station. This time the light was perfect and I had plenty of time to compose the shot with the crop factor in mind. We had the remains of the frittata for lunch.

We headed over towards Bushy Park to meet with Chris and all the family and so it appeared had everybody else! It was quite a challenge for Chris and Ian to find parking spaces. The Park was quite busy but because it is so large it is easy to have plenty of space and we even enjoyed ice cream from the cafe in the car park. I managed to ‘tick the box’ and get a photograph of the SHAEF Memorial as well - only a few photographs to go and then I will have all the 25 and I need for my montage.

We came home - and avoiding a brief heavy shower that was not forecast - we set up tables and chairs in the back garden so that we could have a socially distanced Chinese dinner yet again our local. ’China Garden. excelled itself and there was very little left over for Colin to eat tomorrow! A good day all in all.
