10th July 2020

Day 108 of semi lock down.

Friday should be ‘roofer day’. We have been planning this for ages and got up and dressed early for his supposed 8.00am arrival. Needless to say he did not turn up as his child was ill and he was on child care duty. Very annoying.

However, I have been looking forward to meeting up for a socially distanced coffee/tea wit my friend Sarah over in Raynes Park. It is the first time I have used public transport as I was taking the train. It was quite daunting as face masks are compulsory. I am pleased to say that in my carriage including myself there were only three people and all of us were dispersed around the carriage and wearing masks.

It was so good to see Sarah even if we could not give each other a hug. Ted the border collie did not appreciate social distancing and bounced up and down, pleased to see me. I was also delivering a Teddington print to her as a surprise present for Patrick so I wrapped it well in brown paper. Lovely to catch up on news and hear about Lillie and Izzy. I even got a chance to say hello to Patrick and admire their newly designed garden which is looking amazing.

I got back in time for a late lunch with Colin just as a ladder he ordered arrived which was a relief as we didn’t want it to come the we are away next week.
