8th October 2021

1 year, 190 days since the start of the 1st lock down in March 2020.

Ooh, I’ve been looking forward to today.

We drove out via Molesey so that I could drop off more supplies of greeting cards to Julia at Card Collection. Then we drove onto Esher.

Some time ago I had booked tickets to a matinee of the final James Bond film - No Time to Die - with Daniel Craig which had its release delayed three times since April 2020. We had time for a coffee first and had bought our own popcorn and soft drinks. It’s the first time we have been to the cinema for at least 2 years! The film was very good, a few weak pints but great locations and stunts. Goodbye Daniel Craig - I wonder who will take up the mantle next.

Our final stop of the day was via Squires to see if we could have look at the hamster I had spotted yesterday. We could see him a bit more and he looks really sweet. I wanted to put a deposit down on him but apparently that is not allowed as he is still in quarantine BUT there is someone else interested in him as well so it will be a race tomorrow morning if we want him to try and get him first.
