12th August 2022

2 years and 137 days since the start of the 1st lock down in March 2020.

We are still at ‘Amber warning’ for the high temperatures. Colin is back tomorrow so I’m preparing for his return! Cake was made first thing and then I heard out to deliver cards to Twickenham, stock up with fresh food from Lidl and finally top up the car with fuel at Sainsburys.

In the afternoon I made up and delivered the cards to Teddington and had a short walk through Teddington. I spotted that the Wisteria growing around Peg Woffington's cottages is in a second bloom - this is about a month early, usually in September. Then it was back home to vacuum around and water the plants before any hose pipe ban comes in.
