3rd December 2022

So after continually waking up through night and thinking I had forgotten things, I finally got up half an hour before alarm was due to go off at 6.00am! I packed the car quickly and it was an easy journey at that time of the day to Orleans House and we found a parking space at 7.50am. Colin was still poorly with his cold so he wore a double face mask to avoid passing the ‘lurgy’ onto other visitors.

It was rather disorganised when we arrived as all doors were locked until well after 8.00am and no tables erected when we did eventually gain access. The plus side was that Charlotte said I could set up where I wanted so I chose a space very similar to where I was last year which gave me plenty of space for both my spinner and print rack near to the door.

My friend Patrick arrived a little later with his daughter Lillie and he had a stall opposite mine which was nice. It took me about half an hour to set up in good time. It was a nice day so footfall was good although sales were a little slow. At least I broke even today and am now in profit so less pressure for tomorrow.

I was shattered at the end of the day when I walked up the road to meet Colin waiting for me in the car park of the Crown pub at the top of the road to avoid dicing with other cars down the very narrow road!
Beautifully illuminated.
