17th December 2022

Another cold and frosty day so goodness knows what our fuel bill will be like at the end of the month.

In the diary for a month or so was my annual ‘works outing’ which seems to have developed into a bit of a family night out with Chris and his girlfriend Monika joining us for a slap-up fish and chip supper at Superfish in Ewell.

We have done this for a number of years, only breaking the tradition in 2020 and 2021 because of the Pandemic. As ever the food and service were excellent. We went for the usual Huss (Dogfish) and chips with my essential of a side of mushy peas. Portions were very generous but we managed to squeeze down dessert as well and for Colin with double custard.

The second stage of the traction is a drive down Lower Morden Lane to see the totally over the top Christmas slights. Thus year there were definitely less, probably due to the sky-high fuel bills, Despite this there were still some brilliant houses. They also collect to raise funds for the local hospice - St Rafael’s - so I made sure I scanned the QR code to make a donation. This is one of the better lit houses from our drive.
Astounding.
