5th January 2023

It was low tide mid morning so we walked along the beach from Penzance to Newlyn. It was a great walk even though it rained on the way back. Everyone seems to have a dog here so plenty of friends for Luna and Teasel to meet.

Later in the afternoon Brian drove to Mousehole for the last night of the Christmas lights. I was glad as I hadn’t seen them for a few years. Brian had planned to fly his drones for some aerial shots but a totally mad woman rushed up to berate him for flying his drone over her hot tub! Obviously it was not him and a local but it rather spoiled the atmosphere and he didn’t feel like flying it anymore. Shame we hadn’t known what was going on otherwise I would have given her a piece of my mind!

Anyway on our return I took a turn at cooking as I had bought half a frozen salmon along with all the trimmings. We finished up with sticker toffee pudding with double sauce which seemed to go down well.
