31st January 2023

At last a day out of the house and away from the computer. Some time ago I had. spotted details abut a temporary art installation called ‘Moon in the Museum’ in the Greenwich Naval College. It only has a few days to run and all online tickets had sold out but there was a possibility of some walk up tickets so we took the risk. It is a while since we have last been in London and it was a lovely day with beautiful clouds and although chilly, a lot warmer than recent weeks which made a change.

The first good thing was that we easily got tickets. We wanted to grab some lunch before going in so we nipped back to Pret a Manger near the DLR station to get some sandwiches. On top of these, by chance someone had ordered exactly the coffees we would have ordered and paid for but then for some unknown reason did not collect them so we gained two free coffees through the kindness of the lady serving me.

Back to the Painted Hall in Greenwich Naval College. The Moon was beautiful, quite mesmerising - as thought all of the ‘instagrammers’ who came in outfits including thigh high fur boots and mini skirts to name but a few outfits.

We stayed for quite some time and I brought my camera out for the first time in a while. We walked back through Greenwich and took the DLR all the way back to Bank and then ‘The Drain’ from there back to Waterloo. There was a train already in so it was an easy journey back home - a great day out.

Lovely image of it.
