30th August 2026

We woke to discover that our garden seems to have been the focus of a major excavation by a team of foxes! It is very frustrating as they are digging up the strip of gourd near the ginger fence that we are trying to establish with honeysuckle, jasmine and wild flowers. We have come to the conclusion that they are after a woodlouse that has Ade its home in that area.

Later in the day I started a concerted effort of packing which for some reason seems more of a challenge when actually we have less restrictions as we are taking our car across to France and Germany.

Tonights meal was an entire duck that we have had in the freezer for some time. Colin had made some of his amazing orange sauce yesterday and it was delicious.
