17th February 2013

Today we visited a few more temples later in the day that we had chosen as being a bit different or with a particularly interesting history. One of which is Dhamma Ya Zi Ka Pagoda. Initially we were a bit disappointed as it was not possible to climb up to the pagoda as restoration work is currently taking place.

However, when we saw the main stupa it was truly amazing - the whole structure had been covered in scaffolding made of bamboo and a number of men were working within the scaffold structure a long way up (there is a man in the foreground). It was like a massive wicker lampshade with the waxing moon to the right, high in the sky at the same time as the sun!
