6th April 2013

Are we in for a change? The flowers are coming out. Well at least the ‘yarn bombing’ ones are!

I first saw this in Portugal near Lisbon, I know it’s hit the US, Australia and Cornwall and now it’s here in Teddington. I don’t know who has created this stylish cover for the parking sign but whoever has, has brought a bit of humour to the town - thank you.

Just a tweak to the saturation and a touch of vignetting to liven up a bit of a flat image.
Wonderful shot! I am so glad that there are some eccentric people out there who would do such wonderful non-destructive vandalism!

@steampowered I agree, I love the fact that some people do things purely for the fun of it and to give others enjoyment, no lasting damage!

Love this. (Love Teddington too, I lived there for a couple of years in the late '80s)

From someone who loves to do crochet, this is beyond the kitchen towels crocheted top-- Certainly would catch the eyes of anyone who thought they could just park there. YOu are great at finding things in your environment.

@jantan Teddington is a nice place to live, although only half an hour from central London, it still has a 'villagey' feel and I know most of the shop owners (especially the ones who stock my cards!). Cotswolds are lovely, we're off to Dumbleton Hall your way next week to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary as we got married there! Hope the weather stays like today - almost warm? and sunny!

@pam1 Someone around here is very talented, personally I am useless at anything like sewing, knitting or crochet - I admire your skill! I have to admit, I had heard this was in our town, I just had to find out where.

Love this, what fun, let's hope the council don't get all "sensible" and take it down!
