I'm back ... comparing the two I think I favor this one because of the lines ... her shoulder on the diagonal carried through the position of her jaw, then using the tilt of her head to create a triangle in the composition. So, despite the lines along the neck which I find a bit distracting (but that's just me) I like this composition way more than the other. Besides .. the catch light in her eyes is wonderful here.
I think I like this one for the shoulder line, but...... there is something about her mouth in this one that has a touch of bitterness that makes it a less appealing picture for me. In the other one, in my eyes, there is more projected confidence and awareness of own attractiveness, masked with the dropped gaze. More mysterious and seductive. So, the other one wins for me.
For some reason this one speaks to me more for the era you're shooting for. Something about the look on her face speaks to me of the celebrity shots of years past. Fav
