Peggy Martin, the Katrina Rose by eudora

Peggy Martin, the Katrina Rose

When she returned to her garden in Plaquemines Parish after Hurricane Katrina, gardener Peggy Martin found that her climber rose had survived two weeks under salt water. It's now sold by antique rose growers and has come to symbolize resilience. I'm thinking of ordering one. This is a cluster of blooms on the Peggy Martin rose at the Baton Rouge Botanic Garden.
Beautiful shot. Looks more like a bunch of flowers.

I love the story behind the rose. I don’t usually love roses, but this one is beautiful — I’d get one!
