A pair of purple finches built a nest in a fern hanging on our front porch. The first egg hatched yesterday, just in time for Mother's Day. I hope to get some better pictures in the next few days. Right now I don't want to intrude too much on the new parents.
Well how appropriate is this for Mother's Day? Great shot- the viewpoint is deceiving. It's so close it looks like Robin's eggs. It will be fun to see the baby birds as they grow. Good shot!
