This raccoon has been hanging out on our deck for months, but lately she has been acting strange. Raccoons are often pests, but recently I read about zombie raccoons in Chicago, raccoons infected with distemper who are a danger to pets. I may have to call animal control. The saddest part of this story is that our area has increasing numbers of coyotes, foxes and other animals whose habitat has been destroyed by development, leaving the animals no where to go but populated areas.
