All week, there have been warnings of election protests at the state capitols, beginning today. Coward that I am, I waited until late afternoon to venture downtown. There was no evidence that a crowd had been there.
You're not a coward at all. Heard in a meeting today that there are credible threats to churches too, especially if they're near capitols. One of my favorite churches is right across the street from the Georgia capitol. Sigh.
@grammyn@moviegal1@margonaut@bkbinthecity@sangwann Thanks for your comments. The paper this morning said the demonstrations in Baton Rouge this weekend, and at most other state capitols, were minimal. Hope the inauguration is peaceful, too.
Smart thinking. I was going to pick something up from my son’s apartment in Arlington a couple days ago. I waited until 7 p.m. but the traffic was a mess as they’ve closed four of the bridges into DC. Told him we’d have to wait a few weeks.
