Closed in 2008 because of damage sustained during Hurricane Katrina, it was being renovated. I'm not sure where the project stands, because it looks pretty desolate.
A big upload of pictures from a part of New Orleans I had not visited before, the Holy Cross neighborhood of the Lower Ninth Ward. These sights bring back memories of Hurricane Katrina.
I can't imagine the cost of repairing this building the parish must face. I hope they don't give up. Great black and white- it really accentuates how large the church is.
