August 28 is Brandon's birthday. Sixteen years ago, he turned 15 in the chaos of approaching Hurricane Katrina. Today he turned 31 as we watched Hurricane Ida approach.

The photo was taken almost a year after Katrina.

@allie912 Thanks. I remember Camille, too. We were living in Maryland and I drove to Virginia after the James River flooded. Passing through Richmond, I could not believe the high water marks.
